Officials appointed by the Tamil Nadu government to assess the damage caused by rains in the state, today briefed Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi.
“They explained to the Chief Minister the damage and the relief measures being taken in the respective districts,” the government said in a release here.
The government had last week appointed eight officers to tour nine affected districts to submit an assessment report on the damage caused, which will be discussed at an emergency cabinet meeting today chaired by Mr. Karunanidhi.
